In order to following the same feature as the Air Max 95 and Air Max 96, the Air Max 97 has also use the prominent amount of 3M reflective material on the shoe. The 3M material has covered all the surface of Air Max 97 which is totally different from the style of the 95s and the 96s. the distinguished and unique feature have attracted lots of fans attention, for the shoes are not fashionable in design, but also useful in function. Some rumor have aroused that the original name of the Air Max 97 was the Air Total Max 3. It is said that the unique design are inspired by the high-speed Japanese Bullet train.
